Five Minute Fridays

"Writing is like wrapping yourself in words and giving yourself away." Lisa Jo Baker
This is where a brave and beautiful bunch gather every week to find out what comes out when we all spend five minutes writing on the same topic and then sharing 'em over there.
How to join: All the details are here: Five Minute Fridays with Lisa Jo Baker

Today's Topic: Present

Start:

Am I the only person dreaming of a fit body, an organized home, getting up early enough to start my day with quiet time, and having the perfect most productive day? I don’t think so, but in a way feel alone in all of this. Most of the time I tell myself, “you can do it!”, & I do believe I can achieve the goals I set out for myself. But why is it so hard to change........?

The fact is, Life Happens!
Just as I set out to do something of plan my day, things change.  So this is how it is and I have to except that the present moment is reality.  Deal with it, make every moment count and don’t be so hard on yourself!

So here I am, writing for 5 minutes & I’m glad I did. Because I should have left already for ‘the day I’ve planned”, I should have gotten up earlier, I should have..........
These five minutes have made me think about my day and the lovely moment I have, sitting in the sun writing with my lovely 2 year old on my lap!  This moments is precious!

Thanks for a 5 Minute Friday!

Stop!

  1. No, you are most definitely not the only one! I feel like that most every day, too. But, yes, I think you are absolutely right that more important than productivity is being present in each moment, which I think helps us put God's agenda and plan before our own. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you on the journey!
